Phyl’s Academy held its annual School Choice Parade on Friday, January 26th, 2024. To amplify the message of School Choice, organizers encouraged all participants to wear yellow attire and accessories. In a vibrant display of unity and support for educational diversity, the result was a sea of yellow!
Preschool, Kindergarten & First Grade Setting the Tone
The festivities began with the youngest members of our school community. Our youngest students gathered at 10:00 a.m. with excitement bubbling in the air. These young learners embarked on a parade that showcased their adorable enthusiasm and highlighted the spirit of School Choice!
Parents, teachers, and fellow students lined the parade route, cheering on the little ones as they proudly walked hand in hand. Our students demonstrated the unity and diversity that School Choice brings to our educational community.
Grades 2-6: Uniting in Celebration
Following the heartwarming display by the younger students, the parade continued at around 11:00 a.m., featuring the energetic participants from grades 2 to 6. The schoolyard was a sea of yellow, with students creatively expressing their support for School Choice through imaginative outfits and accessories.
As the older students paraded through the school grounds, the vibrant colors and positive energy resonated with the school’s commitment to providing families with diverse educational options.
Celebrating Diversity in Education
The School Choice Parade wasn’t just about showcasing colorful outfits; it was a celebration of the diverse educational paths available to families. The event aimed to highlight the significance of having options that cater to the individual needs of each student.
A Community United
The School Choice Parade brought the entire school community together, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose. Together, we celebrated the rich tapestry of educational choices that contribute to the growth and development of each child.
