From October 23rd to 27th, students engaged in a series of exciting activities aimed at promoting a drug-free lifestyle. Through themed days, the school effectively communicated the importance of choosing a drug-free lifestyle Let’s take a closer look at the week’s events.
Monday, October 23rd: “Follow Your Dreams Don’t Do Drugs”
The week kicked off with a powerful message: “Follow Your Dreams, Don’t Do Drugs.” Students embraced the theme by wearing their favorite and appropriate pajamas, symbolizing the importance of dreaming big while steering clear of harmful substances.
Tuesday, October 24th: “Team Up Against Drugs”
The spirit of teamwork prevailed on Tuesday as students wore their team jerseys or shirts paired with long blue or black jeans. This day emphasized the strength of unity in the fight against drugs.
Wednesday, October 25th: “Drugs Are Wacky”
“Drugs Are Wacky” day encouraged students to express their creativity by wearing mix-and-match clothing. This lighthearted approach helped raise awareness about the unpredictable and harmful effects of drugs.
Thursday, October 26th: “Go Red”
Thursday saw a sea of red attire as students passionately demonstrated their commitment to a drug-free lifestyle. The “Go Red” day symbolized unity and solidarity in the pursuit of a healthy and drug-free community.
Friday, October 27th: “Breast Cancer Walk”
The culmination of the week took place on Friday with the Phyl’s Academy Breast Cancer Walk at the Margate Campus. Starting at 9:30 a.m., students, teachers, and parents walked together to support breast cancer awareness. Participants were encouraged to wear pink attire and sneakers for the walk.
